About myself

Hi everybody, let me introduce myself:

Gaston Joe Jack Dahm , born in the 60ies in a tiny village in tiny Luxembourg next to the Belgian border. Basically I'm a hillbilly country boy from one of the smallest European countries. I lived many years in Luxembourg city, in 2005 I moved to Southern Eifel in Germany, not far away from Echternach (L).

In 2017 I was allowed to take a sabbatical from work, in 2019 finally started traveling more extensively and a romance brought me to Greece and Skyros island, later to Athens. That same year I decided to stop my professional career and since then I spent and still am spending a lot of time in Greece.

Due to the COVID pandemic, there was an interruption in 2020 and the severe second lockdown 2020/2021.

I came two times by motorcycle to Greece, another two times by car with horse trailer (and motorbikes inside). I finally learned sailing and with my best friend became part owner of a second hand sailing boat in Greece.

I am still discovering a lot about Greece and can't wait to explore it more.

I continue to commute regularly between Luxembourg and Greece.

This blog is about what I am experiencing in Greece and how I perceive it as a Western European.
